Welcome to MusicalTogether.com

Welcome! Watch for exciting news coming soon from our host, MapleMama. She hopes to get those music teaching muscles back in shape very soon, and help enrich the musical lives of families in her community. Until then - learn a little more about her musical life...

Allison Coyne Carroll has worked as Events and Residency Manager for Middlebury College’s acclaimed Performing Arts Series and Mahaney Center for the Arts since 1999; working with artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Cyrus Chestnut, Pilobolus; and the Emerson, Takács, and Tokyo String Quartets, to name a few. Before that she served for five years as the Vermont Symphony Orchestra’s Chorus Coordinator and Assistant to director Robert DeCormier.

Mrs. Carroll studied music education at both the Crane and Manhattan Schools of Music, and received graduate credits in Education at St. Michael’s College. Her education background includes development of K-12 and college-level outreach activities; and curation of elementary-level performances for Middlebury College’s MiddArts: Learning through the Arts and Kids Party programs. Additionally, Mrs. Carroll worked for five years as Vermont Teddy Bear Company’s Education and Tour supervisor, and as a teacher of private music lessons. She completed the Music Together professional teacher training in 2007.

Mrs. Carroll has performed as a vocal soloist with the Manhattan Chamber Symphony, Vermont Symphony Orchestra, the Robert DeCormier Singers, the Randolph Singers, the Hinesburg and Colchester Community Choruses; and she has performed in numerous musical theatre, choral and a cappella ensembles, plus on four record labels. Mrs. Carroll advocates regularly for the arts, frequently serves as an arts grant panelist, and speaks on issues relating to immigration and taxation for artists from abroad. She resides in Hinesburg, Vermont with her husband and three year old son.

When recently asked why she works in the Arts, Mrs. Carroll responded:

"I am continually inspired by people coming together across many miles, disciplines, cultures, faiths and beliefs through the arts. I have a particular interest in seeing the visa and taxation process improve for international artists visiting the United States, and eliminating that obstacle to global dialogue.

Wdydwyd? Because for me, every performance feels like world peace; achieved in 2 acts, with a 15 minute intermission."
